A little late, right on time

Ifeoluwa was celebrating with her friends at Rotunda on the OAU campus. The laughter had been shared, the outing was winding down, and they were just about to leave.

Then Tomide arrived with his own group of friends—perfectly timed, although neither of them knew it yet. As his friends went over to speak to hers, Tomide approached Ifeoluwa. What began as one almost-missed hello became more conversations, more laughter and a love that kept choosing them both. Nine years later, that last-minute meeting in Ile-Ife has become their favourite story to tell—and the beginning of forever.

Her name, Ifeoluwa, means “God’s love,” while his, Oluwatobi, means “God is great.” Together, their names inspired a fitting title for every chapter they are still writing: Our Great Love Diaries.
